Three Topics In One....

Does this happen at your house too?
Just wondering...

First Topic
Often.....when I go to the restroom, this is usually what I find....

I think next time, it would be sweet of me to take the empty roll off... write a few toilet paper changing directions on it, and then place it back on the holder!

Of course....all the other rolls of paper will be appropriately {locked} away in the cabinet.
Ooops...did I say locked?  I intended to say, tucked away!!

Second Topic

I had a very interesting day yesterday....took my dad and my niece shopping !!  Oh, and Mylee went too!

What a morning....truly, what a morning.
I think my vocal cords might be damaged from answering so many questions, and my tongue is very sore....from biting it so many times!  {Big laughs needed here}

I nearly hit every single car that was on the highway....
I almost ran into every car that I parked beside, I parked us by the WRONG entrance of the mall....I took  too many wrong roads, and to top it off, I bought way too many Chicken sandwiches!!

It really does take a lot of patience when dealing with elderly parents, especially if they have Alzheimer's...and especially if you take them to the mall!!

I'm not complaining here....just simply laughing at my day!

Oh Happy Day......

Topic Three

Yesterday afternoon, I lost my cell phone....
I had it one minute and the next it was gone!
Disappeared like lightening!!

After spending quality time with my dad in the morning hours, I decided to make my way down to our church yesterday afternoon.  I needed to make a new floral arrangement for the front table in the sanctuary...
This coming Sunday, is Homecoming Sunday at our church, and I wanted to make sure we had some colorful flowers up front...

I knew that I had my phone while at the church, but when I got home, I could not find it anywhere.....
I made another trip to the church to trace my tracks to see if I had left it sitting around somewhere.....The answer was NO!

I came home...searched this house upside down, with no luck at all...
Drove back to the church, thinking that perhaps I had accidentally placed my phone in the flower room....NO again!

Checked every place possible in my car, only to come up empty handed...When I got back home, Sam was here.  He called my number and low and behold...we could hear it ringing..
But, WHERE??

Tracked the ring coming from somewhere in the kitchen....Finally, YES finally, I found my phone.  It was in a cabinet!!  Yes, I said a cabinet, and it was in one that is way too high for Mylee to reach....this means that {I}  must have set it in the cabinet....

I must have packed way too much into this mind of mine!!

Oh Life, I love you!
I am anticipating a wonderful day today!

Blessings Y'all....
Shug

  2. In our new apartment bathroom we have a new kind of TP hanger - you simply slip the roll on! It works wonderful! A stash of TP is within easy reach of the person seated on the throne - and we both put on a new roll as needed. Oh, the little joys of life, lol!!

Would love to see the new floral arrangement! Love working with flowers!

    Glad you found your phone!

Full days are fun - compared to just sitting there and staring out the window!! Enjoy your week-end!

  4. Hi Shug!

I just couldn't help but giggle through your whole post!! I soooooo understand the whole elderly, Alzheimer's thing! My sister and I try to take my mother shopping and to lunch once a week - trust me it's always and adventure!

I'm so glad you found your phone - even if it was in a funny place!

You are a sweetie for making your church look beautiful - sounds just like you!

I love the picture of you and your hubby on your sidebar, in the phone booth - so precious...:0)

  6. Wow, I think you are lucky to be alive today!!! I have lost my glass of water, and found it on the linen closet shelf!!! And I just lost the cell last week, I can never remember to call it! But Phil did call it and we tracked it down to a purse that I had used before the one I was carrying that day.

  7. I'm so glad you found your phone!!

I often find an empty or almost empty roll in my bathroom as well. I think the toilet paper gremlins are running amok.

  8. The only who knows how to change toilet paper in my house is ME - and it feels like I have to change them at least 2 or 3 times a day - we have 4 toilets. I know how you feel. Love, sandie

How busy you are with life.
And your poor tongue. I give you an At for your patience!
Better to lose your phone than your purse!!
    Have a great day today-Kimberly

  13. The phone story sounds much like many of my days. Not just running around the homestead looking for my cell or house phone both but my keys & mail. I think sometimes our mind is on overload with all we need to cram into one day. I remember my Gram telling me how I was as a child. Asking all kinds of questions only to have more questions when given the answer. My grand children are the same questioning way. I think that's how they learn. It can be a bit trying. LOL. Said a prayer for you. I took care of my Pap once a week after Gram passed. I don't regret it but I know it takes a lot to be there for our elderly loved ones. Oh the toiletpaper. No one but me can seem to do that task. I have hid the toilet paper. Kids could not change the roll but could take the full rolls to their friends place. Blessings!
