Right Equipment Needed

Here I go again....Opening up my brag book and hoping that you all will find my grandson (Tyler) just adorable as I do....

This past Tuesday night was the last baseball game of the season, for the Brownsboro Bears.

As I sat there and tried to watch the game, my thoughts were engaged in just how difficult it must be to wear ALL of the required catching equipment....

I wouldn't be able to stand up and I for sure would not be able to get back down. My goodness, the helmet alone would give me a big case of claustrophobia...

You can't do this job without wearing the vest, the shin guards or the face mask....Just wouldn't be wise not to have these on!!!

I would think that with a ball heading toward you at the speed of 75 miles per hour, one would definitely want to be covered....

Now...you know me!  In just a matter of moments, my thoughts changed from the equipment that my grandson was wearing, to thinking about the equipment required in our spiritual lives.

We need the Bible to teach us about God's word.  We need the Holy Spirit to give us direction and to comfort us...We need the whole armor of God covering us each day...We need our church and our church family...

These are just a few of the things that we need in order for us to have an intimate relationship with the Lord...

God provides us with everything that we need...it is up to us to use the equipment....

Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts with each of you.  Guess it's time for me to get back to my BRAG BOOK!!

Hugs and O's

  1. Hi Shug, I know about watching grandchildren play baseball/softball... One of my granddaughters in Texas is a CATCHER ---so she has to wear all of that equipment also. She's a go-getter and very good... Bet your grandson is also...

We all have to bring out the Brag Books often!!!! ha

Love that photo of your grandson. Makes you feel the moment!! Nothing like watching grands do anything at all. Just nothing. ;)

Shug, thank you for your prayers and for your church's prayers. I am so very, very grateful for the prayers of my sisters and brothers in Christ. I have been lifted and I am grateful!! Praise the Lord. Thank you again ~ tanna
