Sweet memories

Hey Ya'll.....I really did put the pizazz in my step this morning....Crawled (almost literaly) out of bed this morning at 5:30.  Had a small struggle with those things they call "Support Hose."  Wouldn't dare walk without them...they're really good for the legs, and hey.....they make you feel just a tad bit skinner!  After all, this is one of my goals....to shed a few lbs!

Walked a little over 2 miles....Woo Hoo!!!  I'm so proud of myself, I could jump  up and down right now, but for some odd reason, my muscles are screaming at me to please not move...

                                        **************

I have a few pictures to share with you.....Sweet Memories!

"Turner Falls"

Located just a little ways from the city of Davis Oklahoma..

Can you believe this little bit of water that is flowing over the falls is enough to fill the big swimming hole?  It's also enough to fill up several more swimming holes that have been carved out of the rocks throughout the years.....

I used to swim....Ooops, play in the water, in these swimming holes some 45 years ago.  I have such sweet memories of spending time here with my family when I was little...

If you like to camp, check this place out....

I promise, you will not be disappointed....

Sweet Blessings, My Friends..

Start the Day with Pizzazz...

                                                   ********************

I started the day off with a lot of pizzazz!!!  Woke up early and went to the track........If I counted the laps correctly, I walked 2 miles....Had my music booming in my ear, as I was Praising the Lord, so it is possible that I walked over two miles.  Might not be able to walk the rest of the day, but I did what I set out to do this morning.....(Lets see....Knee hurts, hips hurt, feet hurt, and I and the worse thing of all is that I STINK)

These are the words I plan to stand by.....

"She believed she could, so she did"

Do you do this?  I went to the doctor yesterday, only for him to reveal what I already knew...Just have to wander why it takes him telling me, before I believe it.....The nurse gave me a copy of the results of my blood work and believe me, I had to twist my tongue and keep it there for just a bit!   Wasn't anything that would come as a big shock....I would have won big if this had been a guessing game!  Almost guessed every number correctly.....so now you know what brought on the early morning walk today!!

Well,  I do believe that I can get out there and walk and that
this will help bring those numbers down....I believe I can lose a few pounds and I believe that I will feel great.....Most of all, I believe that I can do this without giving up......

Get it on out there with me and lets see how many pounds we can lose here in Blog Land......

See ya at the track tomorrow morning.  Be there @ 6:00 A. M.

                                     *********************

The power of kindness is immense....It is nothing less, really, than the power to change the world.....

Fried Pies and a View.....

                                                                     Long trip yesterday...

Nothing like making a 5 hour trip turn into an 8 hour trip...

Why did  they not listen to me?  I'm talking about the men....

There was a lot of construction on I35....as a matter of fact,
on Sunday, Sam and I were stopped to a complete stand still for
over an hour and man was it HOT!

So....to avoid this wee little problem again, my sweet thing (along with some other friends)
decided to take a different route...

One thing for sure was to stop at the "Original Fried Pie" store....

Let me take you on a quick tour of the place.......

Fried Pies.......all kinds of Fried Pies....

This is what greeted us at the door....I couldn't resist taking (several) pictures, maybe like 6 of them....

What a way to attract customers!!

Take a look at these babies........OMG....

A fried pie is like a round piece of crust.....fill one side with the filling of your choice........fold it over.....seal the sides together, and deep fry the whole thing.....

If you have never had one, this is a must try....THEY ARE GREAT!

For lunch I had the TEX-MEX fried pie.....sooooooo gooooood......It was filled with re fried beans, taco meat, Cheddar cheese and peppers...

And then, for dessert..........I HAD A "COCONUT" FRIED PIE!   This one is by far the BEST!!

Sam, Jimmy and Charlotte........
Sam had a Pecan pie, Jimmy had coconut (like me) and Charlotte enjoyed a delicious looking
Blackberry Fried Pie....

**********

Now, back to the trip....

There was suppose to be a small detour over to Hwy77, but it didn't turn out this way...

Over the mountains and through the woods.........To NO WHERE!

After about an hour of running around from here to there, they finally listened to me
and with no delays, we were on hwy. 77 within 10 minutes.....

Of course we had to stop one more time to eat......Cracker Barrel it was!

Finally got home around 8:00 P.M.

WOW

Sam tried to bring some fried pies home, but I convinced him that we didn't need them.....

I sure wish I had one right now....

Blessings My Friends....

Today's Travels

Good day to all of my wonderful blogging friends, my other friends, kinfolks and all.......

At this very moment, Sam and I are traveling down interstate 35 in Oklahoma.....We just attended the funeral service for our Pastor's mother.....Very sweet service.

Oh my...the music was beautiful....Ivan Parker's, "The Midnight Cry" was one of the songs that was sung....BEAUTIFUL!   This particular song always gives me chill bumps because the words are so praise worthy and so touching.....

I am thankful that we had the opportunity to attend the service in order to offer our love and condolences to our new Pastor and his family....

                                 ****************

I can hardly wait.....just a few more miles and we will be stopping at the Fried Pie Store.....OMG....which one will I get?  I love apricot, but then there is coconut, chocolate, blackberry, cherry, peach......oh my....we might just have to purchase a half a dozen or....or.....or....maybe a DOZEN.

I'll be sure to post pictures tomorrow.....(well, that is if blogger will let me)

                                ***************

The rest of the week holds much.....

1.  Doctor's appointment in the morning and I am probably going to be in deep trouble....(Weight, Triglycerides, cholesterol)

2.  I have a decorating job to do for my son-in-law....His new office needs my helping hand....I have been promising to get this done for 4 weeks now, and I still have not done so....Ooops!   sorry Ty!

3.  Trista's furniture is coming this week.....It will be delivered to their new home....DECORATING to do there....
I think I am as excited as they are!  (Love Decorating...)

4.  Garage sell to get ready for......What happens when you buy a new home?  Lots of stuff that you don't really want anymore...This is going to be a gigantic sell.....

5.  Preparations for our big 4th of July get-together with our High School friends... (this is something we do each year)

6.  And.....the usual stuff like wash clothes....swim, Or play in the water....cook....play with the kids....church...and all the rest of the good stuff....

Ok...I thinking I'm a little sleepy, so I think I'll try to nap until we get to Dallas....See ya'll tomorrow and be sure to look for pictures of my fried pie....What kind did I choose??

Hugs and sweet Blessings...

The Lake Outing......

This is the day.....That the Lord has made....I will rejoice....and be glad in it!

Have any of you ever been stranded?  If you have, you know what a scary situation it can be.....

Well....yesterday, we were stranded!!  Stranded in the middle of the lake!  yikes!!

NO......this is not our boat (this is a borrowed picture) but this is exactly how I felt.

Sam and I had decided to take the boat out to the lake, along with our two granddaughters....Water Tubing was our motive....

Early that morning, Sam had cranked the motor to make sure that everything was working.....
And, it was!!

We had a few errands to run and needed to run by the hospital to visit our niece who had just given birth to  a baby girl on Friday.....(Zoey....she weighed over 9 lbs. and was 23 inches long)

We had hoped to be on the lake by at least 1:30 and it's now 3:00.......I was busy getting everything ready....packing a picnic basket for our dinner and making sure that we had all the necessities needed for an evening on the lake....

Sam was attempting to crank the motor one more time before we left, just to make sure that it was set on go.....Guess What?  it wasn't!  The thing would not crank.....He needed to replace a coil or something like that.

The girls and I decide that would just go jump in the pool (after all, we already had our swim suits on)

The pool was super nice.....we were playing and relaxing in the refreshing, cool water!

Suddenly......Sam appears and says the motor is fixed and ready to go.....
We get all of our stuff loaded and there is total excitement on the girls faces.....

OK.......Now we are at the lake and  the boat is in the water....we get all our gear, food and drinks loaded and are ready to head out......

Now, mind you that Sam was having a few minor problems with the boat before we even left the dock, but he was pretty positive that the kinks would get worked out after we took off.....

I was really beginning to doubt his thoughts when I turned around and realized that we now had drifted at least 200 hundred yards from the dock.......But....oh no.....he had to keep trying...That motor was not going to defeat him!  Isn't this a man for you???

If I tried to say something.....he was irritated....if Mylee or Tori tried to speak.....he was irritated......

Evidently this darling man of mine can not think and talk at the same time!!

Finally.......after drifting out into the lake about 500 yards, Sam decides that the motor is not going to crank.......500 yards is a long way out when you are surrounded by WATER...(and you know I can't swim)

Now, what to do?

Thankfully, we had a trolling motor.....do you have any idea how long it takes to travel 500 yards using a trolling motor?  At least 45 minutes.....

Oh my.....What an afternoon!

Here are some pictures of some things we saw!  I think you'll love them!!

Ducks......

Tori and Mylee.......

More Ducks.......

A Buzzard???

                                                                          More Buzzards.....

                                                                             A Crane.......

How exciting is this?   We really did have a great time and the girls enjoyed just floating in the boat!

By the way....Sam came home and put the boat on craigs list.....(This is a place to sell things online)....

For Sale by Owner.........BOAT with MOTOR!

Did I get tickled?  Yes I did....  and, did I mention that during all his frustration, he fell down in the boat when he got tangled up in the trolling motor cords?  I am pretty certain that the boat was rocking, because I was laughing so hard on the inside.....dare I laugh out loud?  Oh dear.... NO ....he might have thrown me overboard!

Blessings on this wonderful day that the Lord has made.....

He Will Be The Light...

Good Morning.....

Here I am saying Good Morning, but posting a picture of the sun setting....

I took this picture last evening as Sam and I took a drive down by
the lake.....

This sunset speaks deeply to my heart.....It's as if God is telling me that even though
darkness is coming, His light is bright enough to shine through...He will be the light
that watches over me and protects me as I sleep...

I am thankful for the beauty of this sunset and I was very thankful for God's Love.

My 5 Things Friday....

Good Morning All.....It's Friday!

I am almost positive that you all can pretty well guess what is tops on my thankful things this week....

1.  How bout Rain.....I am so very thankful for the rain that the Lord sent our way....I am thankful for the sweet fragrance of every single rain drop that fell....I didn't even mind getting drenched in the heavy downpour.  Don't you just love walking barefoot in the rain?  I do....love it when the water covers my feet!........

2.  I am so thankful that my daughter and her family were able to get moved into their new home this week...This was a hard move, because Trista is still teaching (summer school) and her husband had a busy week teaching his summer baseball camp......We are so thankful for their beautiful new home!

3.  So thankful that Sam is feeling better....It's amazing what a good shot from the doctor can do....He still has a slight cough (fighting the fire probably did not help) but he is now able to sleep without the aid of NyQuil!

4.  I am thankful for my dad....last Sunday was Father's Day and I am so thankful that my dad had a great day...As a matter of fact, this has been a good week for him...His mind has been pretty clear (Thank You Lord!)  I sure love this man!

5.  I am so thankful for the wonderful feeling that I get inside when I give someone a smile, or when I see a need and I do everything within my power to help...Kindness, compassion, and understanding....I love these things...

Happiness is the easiest thing to find if we open our hearts to being THANKFUL....

Blessings, my sweet friends!

What Is Your Mirror Reflecting?

What is your mirror reflecting?  I suppose that this is somewhat of a crazy question....

A mirror reflects what is in front of it, doesn't it?

As a Christian, our mirror is really our actions....How we act
in front of people.....It's our reactions, our voice, our eye contact, our behavior......

How clean is your mirror?  Is it clean enough to allow the goodness in your heart to shine through?

What does your mirror look like when you are irritated by others...maybe someone is very annoying and just to be in their presence is nerve racking....or, what if someone breaks something that is very dear to you?  What are you reactions like!

Does your mirror only show love and compassion when you are in a group of others who are displaying the same love and compassion?  When you are standing by those who have very little in life and are in need of much, do you still let that love and compassion shine through?

Or...do you allow your mirror to become cloudy and ugly?

These are good thoughts to think about!
When I am around other people, I want them to see a good, clean mirror and I want the joy that is my heart to shine through.

Blessings.....

What To Do?

What to do.....What to do?

When was the last time you went to the grocery store?  Kinda shocking isn't it?

I made a quick trip to the grocery store yesterday, and I could hardly believe what I saw on the register. Why?  Because of the Dollars ($$$) that I spent...and to think that I only had four sacks to load..........

I can tell you this, it certainly put a weak smile on my face...

Are you the kind that makes out a grocery list?  I must admit that I am, but often I go off and
leave the list at home......(I really need to try to do better!)

I do believe that making a list helps when shopping....So, this calls for some serious action on my part.
The cost for feeding a family is growing like crazy.  Prices are increasing and portions are decreasing!

Yesterday, after shopping, I was talking to Tyler (our 15 year old grandson) about how expensive
things are getting....he made this comment:  "shug, why don't you go back to cooking beans and cornbread?"   Tyler is right...why can't we go back to fixing more cornbread and beans?

Our grandkids love to eat Cornbread and milk!

(It is good if I say so myself)

But...You want to know what happens when I fix a big pot of red beans?

One bowl is all they want!....   After one bowl, they are done with
beans for a while.......

For sure, this is a cheap way to feed a family.....And beans are healthy

for us...

What to do....What to do????

I am almost positive that you all have noticed the huge increase in groceries....

How do you plan out your meals for the week and what do you
do to cut back on such enormous grocery bills??

I'd love to hear your ideas, your suggestions, and your thoughts on savings when it comes to buying groceries.

Loved visiting with you today...Hope your day is all you want
 it to be...

Do You See What I See?

Praise, Glory and Honor to the Lord, for He is GOOD!

Do You See What I See?

You better believe it.......This is RAIN!

Thank you dear friends....I asked you to help me pray concerning our need for rain here in Texas, and I see that I must have some pretty powerful
prayer warriors as my friends.....

A big hug to each one of you....

Check this out......A bubble in a puddle of water.....Isn't it cute?

and then, there is this one.....do you see anything special about this picture?
Take a close look, you can see me in the middle of the bubble......I am standing there taking the picture...

This makes me extremely happy and I know that it makes every single blade of grass, or flower, or animal happy....

I just loved these little bubbles dancing in the rain....They were caused by drops of rain from the tree limbs....How simple, but oh how beautiful!

I know that this sweet little periwinkle was so glad to get a shower....It has just been too hot for even the periwinkles to bloom....

How pretty....how wonderful....Thank you again Lord!

Thank you again to all of you who felt led to pray for the rain to come here, in our neck of the woods!

Blessings this day....

Blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.
                                                                        Proverbs 16:20

Good Morning Happy Friends......

Hope all of you had a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocius

kind of weekend!  I'm not really sure that this word

holds any kind of definition, but it sounds like a FUN

word.  SO.....I hope you all had a FUN weekend!!

*****

Trust in the Lord.....this is exactly what I want my message to be today....

For those of you who read my post this past Saturday, you
probably could sense a little frustration in my words..

Sam and I had this perfect weekend planned, and it seems like everything that could go wrong.....WENT WRONG!

I'm not making any apologies for being frustrated, because I know this is just part of being human.....HOWEVER....I wish that I would learn to realize that when PERFECT plans don't go my way, that the LORD has a reason and I need to TRUST HIM!

You see......we were not suppose to come home from our extended weekend trip until late today.....but, with all the challenges of not feeling well and the hotel being what I call OVER CROWDED, we decided to come on home...

About an hour after we got here, Sam had a phone call informing him that the farm was on fire (again)

He ended up fighting the fire (along with the fire dept.)
for about 6 hours.  It is contained, but still burning...
Praise the Lord, the fire did not reach any of the crop trees!
We need RAIN so very bad and I would ask you to please be in
prayer for the Lord to send us this much needed rain.

Yes, we need to trust God!
There was a reason that we needed to be home this weekend...
If Sam had not been here, things could have been much worse
than they were....Sam is exhausted, so please be in prayer for him as well....The temps reached 104 that day, and with the extra heat of a brush fire surrounding you, plus the continuous effort of maintaining the enormous flames, you can see how one would easily become weak..

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

Have a Blessed Day....

From Red to White....Alright!!!

I do love the color of RED....
and, I can't imagine not having this
color displayed in various places throughout
our home... Oh, and on the outside too...

Do You remember my RED front doors?
I have enjoyed these doors so very much...

HOWEVER.....it was time to say good-bye
to these well worn out doors.

I have always had a lot of compliments about my beautiful
bright red doors, but none of these folks really knew the
real issues back behind them....

Let's just say.....they were like motorized fans without the motors!!
If you were standing in front of them and the wind was blowing, you had better hold on, because the breeze COULD blow you over.

So.....let me introduce you to my New Beautiful White TEXAS Doors!!

Wa....La

I love the beautiful TEXAS STAR....

and yes, that is my shadow behind the star!

Even the sidelights have the TEXAS STAR!

I think I must be in Love all over again....

This door is solid....no breeze blowing through....no gaps...

The question is.......

What color??

What color am I going to paint my brand
new door?  RED? BLACK?  or should I
paint it WHITE?

I just don't know.....So this story is to be

Continued!

Hope you find loads of happiness today!

The Get-Away Weekend

Well....we are in the big city again this weekend.....BIG D!......DALLAS

This time it is (was) for us!   That's right, NO BALLGAMES, NO CHILDREN, NO GRANDCHILDREN.

No way, could this be the truth?  Yes it is!

However.....(You know there are always HOWEVER'S  when it comes to our lives.)

However, both Sam and myself are not feeling super good!

We drove up here last night, and our intentions were to spend a few days (DAYS) just hanging out at the pool and relaxing......The hotel is so nice and the pool is extra large.....the perfect get-away place!

Or was it???   First of all, Sam has a bad cold and is all congested.....Something is wrong with my hip right now.  It hurts like crazy when I move.  (Maybe a little too much exercising!!)

Second of all,  there were four (4) weddings taking place at the hotel...do you have any idea how many out of town guest this is......how many little kids this is!!

And third.....it is 104 degrees outside!! This makes the pool water extremely warm...

So....not much to say for the relaxing weekend....We are on our way home now...Just a couple of hours and we can RELAX at home!

Hope you all enjoy a GREAT weekend.....Just don't come to TEXAS, cause you will definitely be HOT!

Hugs,

Shug

My 5 Things Friday.....

Jeepers, Weepers.....Can you believe that it is already Friday, AGAIN? Where did the week go?  What I can't hardly believe is that it is already the middle of JUNE!

It's my 5 things to be thankful for Friday....I know that there are seven days in a week, but I chose 5 because this is a number that I love!  Believe me, there are 100's of things that happen each day that I am so thankful for:

Here they are............

1.  I am so thankful for the results on Tucker's check-up this week...They were
GOOD....His platelet count is still low, but the Dr's are keeping a very close watch
on this.  Our concern was that Tuck has been so tired lately and having had
leukemia, this makes us worry a little.....His doctor said that all of his other
blood counts look GREAT!  His tiredness is probably a result of football camp,
basketball camp, and all the swimming that he does.... I am thankful that he
can participate in all of these things....."Love this Kid"   BTW...he added three
more beads to his "Beads of Courage" necklace!

2.  Thankful for my marriage of 39 years...!   Woo Hoo....I have the most wonderful
man in the world that loves me!

3.  Thankful for our new pastor and his family....They are truly a Blessing to our
      church family.....We love you guys!

4.  Thankful that God has blessed our daughter (Trista) and her family with a new
home....They are moving in today!  Yay!  Yay!  now we need to pray that their
      other house SELLS!!

5.  I am thankful for the joy that is in my heart....it is wonderful to be able to wake
up each day and to know that my Heavenly Father is walking beside me.....HE
loves me and HIS desire is for me to be happy....Thank you Lord!

Have you made your list today......What are 5 things that you are thankful for?  Comment and list them for
everyone to see.....Someones eyes may be opened to their own Blessings, just by reading what God has done for each of us!!

Have a SUPER, DUPER, BLESSED DAY....

39 Years and MORE...

MY.....We sure look a whole lot different now, from the way we looked on our

wedding day 39 years ago TODAY!!

Yes, today I have been married to my Best Friend for 39 wonderful years.......

Is it OK to congratulate ourselves?  I am very proud of every single year!!

We are Blessed!!

*****************

Now, on to more things......

Herbs.......I really do not know anything about these things...

But, that's not to say that I'm not interested.....After all, I know that these are

the things that make all the foods at restaurants so delicious....

Take Cilantro....what would Mexican Food be without Cilantro?

I am determined to learn how to cook with good fresh HERBS!

OR, as some would say.....HURBS.

Do any of you cook with fresh herbs?

**************

I suppose I could always check with Tucker......Seems he has a

lot of knowledge when it comes to using cucumbers......Maybe, just

maybe he knows what to do with all the fresh herbs......

Enjoy your day!

Stinking Thinking

Good Morning Friends....Hope this Tuesday finds you full of abundant JOY!

I am still very tired this morning, so I went back to my files and found this post in my drafts....It is one that I had written back in November of 2010.  I never finished it, but I had made some notes in my journal as to why I decided to write about this topic.

It all had to do with the Holidays and how so many people walk around with a frown on their face just because "THEY do not want to be happy."  When the Holidays are mentioned, they frown...as a matter of fact, most of these people have already determined (probably a few months earlier) that they are going to rely on their own negative thinking to get them through the Holidays.

This morning, I typed "Stinking thinking" into my computer and I could not believe how many web sites came up in regards to the words "STINKING THINKING."   And here I was, thinking that I had come up with a new way of describing the word NEGATIVE..

WRONG is what I was.....Oh well, I'm gonna lay claim to it anyways.

Stinking Thinking.....These two words are usually not used together...however, if they were typically used together, we would refer to them as Negativity.  The truth is very plain to see.....A lot of times, our thinking STINKS sometimes.

When we don't like something, we complain.  When there is nothing better to talk about, we complain...When we think others are expecting something out of us, we tend to set out to prove them wrong....We are determined to walk in places where clouds of JOY can never find us...

When our minds are turning to envy, we are developing STINKING, THINKING.....and if we aren't gonna be happy, then no one is gonna be happy!

There are ways to overcome this type of lifestyle....
After all, who wants to hang out with people who STINK?  If you have this type of personality or you know that this is a target that you set yourself up for, then determine months ahead, that you are going to do something about it!

Start praying about  this and ask God to give you a heart that longs to see GOOD in everything...

For 5 days straight, try to do something GOOD for someone else.  At the end of those 5 days, you will find a new place in your heart that IS longing for JOY.

Repeat these words over and over ever chance you get..."I deserve to be Happy"

Speak Blessings on the lives of others around you.

STINKING THINKING HURTS YOU AND IT HURTS THOSE YOU LOVE!

RESCUE YOURSELF FROM THE "STINKING THINKING" WAY OF LIFE AND BE A PERSON THAT PEOPLE CAN'T WAIT TO BE AROUND....

Hope you find Joy in all that you do!

Late Posting.....

My sweet husband just told me that my blogging friends were going to D-I=V-O-R-C-E me if I didn't get with it.....In other words, I need to have my blog posted before 8:00 each morning!!!!!!!!!

You all know that I am certainly not one to COMPLAIN.....but every bird needs to be fed at some point and I suppose my COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT is starving right about now!!

Evidently my sweet husband has not walked in my shoes any during the past three days.....Do you remember my Sat. morning?  He and I went into town and I purchased his ring....ended up taking it back to get it re-sized...  Well... Ithink I need to finish the rest of the story so my friends can understand what is up with my late posting....

We have one grandson that is playing select baseball and his team travels long distances to play ball on the weekends.  After Sam and I finished in town this past Saturday, we decided that perhaps we needed to go watch Carson play ball...We have only seen him play a couple of times during this ball season...

His team had traveled to Waxahachie for a two day tournament and even though this is a two hour drive from our house to there, we figured it would be a shorter distance to travel in comparison to most of his
tournaments.....But wait....there is more to the story....(Hope it won't be too confusing for you)

Tucker had a scheduled appointment in Dallas on Monday.  Since I was already going to be in that area, I was also going to drive a few extra miles to the city of Frisco to pick up something for Trista at the "Kids Pottery Barn."

To save me some time on Monday, Sam suggested that we drive on up to Frisco on Saturday, pick up the item and then drive South to Waxahachie (which is about an hour away from Frisco.)  I was 100 percent in favor of his suggestion, especially since it would save me some time on Monday....

Carson's game was not until 5:45 and then he had another game at 7:45........We get to the ballpark and the games are running an hour behind....FINALLY....it is game time...We watch the (6:45) game and even stay to watch a couple of innings of the last game.....By the time we get home, it is 11:00 P.M.

Sunday morning....wake up, try to play catch up in getting everything done that I needed to have gotten done on Sat. evening....Get dressed for church....go to church (Awesome Service).....eat lunch, meet Trista in town to pick out paint for their NEW house.....come back home....Pack to leave for Dallas!

I was so thankful that Shanda and Mylee had decided to go with us.....Shanda drove in order for me to write my Sunday post....I certainly did not have time to proof read it, so if there were mis-spelled words, well let's just say, you now know why....          (Tucker's mom could not take him for this appointment because she is teaching summer school)

Get to Dallas at 7:00 P.M........grab  something for us to eat......go to hotel....watch the "MAVERICKS WIN the NBA FINALS" and then, we hit the hay...(this is short for WENT TO BED)......It was a long night!  Didn't sleep very well, and to make matters worse, when I finally did go to sleep (around 3) I was soon awakened around 4:30 by the smell of BACON!!!  YES BACON.  Our room was just above the kitchen and it seems the hotel likes their BACON COOKED EARLY!!

Alarm goes off at 6:30....Tucker's first appointment at "Children's" is at 8:00.....they are running late....
Finally, his heart sonogram is done by 9:15.......Next on the list is to get his check-up....

OMG....OMG.....Oh My Goodness!!!!   It takes FOREVER....and EVER for the Dr. to see him!
FINALLY, (AGAIN)......we are done...

You might say,.... is this the end of the story?...  NO, Nada, it's Not!
I ended up having to drive back to Frisco to purchase another item for Trista.....

I walked into the house at 5:00 P.M. this afternoon, and I am just now writing my Monday post...

I'm really not complaining....I am thrilled to be busy!    I truly am Blessed to be able to run and go like I do.  I am always more than willing to do whatever I need to do for my family.....

I told Sam that I knew you all would completely understand why I am posting LATE today!  I promise to be on time Tomorrow!!  I have had a BUSY weekend, but I am so thankful that I was not walking in Sam's shoes today.......I'm not very fond of these things called "Kidney Stones!"

Hugs to all my friends.....

Sweet Blessings!

And BTW....Tucker got a great report on his check-up!  Woo Hoo..
We are extremely Thankful!!
