From Me to YOU!

                         From Me to You......
A bouquet to bring you JOY!

Live generously.....Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the intiative and
Do It For Them!

If we learn how to give of ourselves, to forgive others, and to live with thanksgiving, we need not seek happiness....

                         It will seek us!

Happy Mother's Day weekend to each of you...

Sweet Blessings,

# One, One......

#11....  Lets go One, One....

This is a number that has been hanging around the baseball fields for a long time....and it hangs around here a whole lot too!

This particular jersey belongs to our oldest grandson...."Tyler"

How many 15 year olds still love to sit in their Shug's lap?

Last night we were at the baseball complex, watching Tucker play ball....I was sitting there enjoying the game and the next thing I know , I have this big guy sitting in my lap, giving me a big ol' hug...

He wanted to make sure he got his share of hugs for the day!

Is this wonderful or what?

Count your Blessings One by One!

As I listened to the Lord this morning, I was reminded of all my simple Blessings...Having a wonderful grandson that still loves to sit in my lap is truly a Blessing...(Being able to hold him is another Blessing)

Happy will always find you, if you open your heart!

Sweet Blessings on this Beautiful Friday!

BTW...(By the way)  # One, One is a big follower of my blog, so what a perfect opportunity to let him know...HE IS LOVED!

"I Think I Can".....

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Believe......to have confidence in the Truth!

How many times have you ever heard...."Don't get your Hopes up?"
This is the mindset of many that we come in contact with on a daily basis....

Evidently they have not read "The little engine that could" as many times as I have!

Can you imagine how many times the little engine repeated the words....."I THINK I CAN"

When I read the scriptures, I see belief all over the pages....
God took (and He still takes today) so many ordinary men and women and He used them to do the extraordinary...  I love this, don't you?

When we BELIEVE, this puts amazing strength in our thought process and we then are able to rise to any challenge.  By believing, we allow our FAITH to go to work and we are able to do what we once believed to be impossible....

Whatever comes your way today......Just Believe....
Repeat those little words over and over again....

"I think I Can"

"Do not be afraid....only BELIEVE"
Mark 5:36

I hope that you enjoy today's journey...

Blessings,

Shug

This Old House

Good day to all of you...

I think there is a song out there about "This Old House"

I'm not positive, but I think the Gaither's sing it...
(Just found out that this song was composed and recorded in 1950 by Stuart Hamblen...)

"This old house once knew my children......
This old house once knew my wife....."  etc.

                     *********************

We bought this house about eight years ago and I absolutely love it.....As with any house, there are always a few things that can rub you the wrong way..

This house had the old wooden windows which were great, just very expensive to have painted....They were replaced a couple of weeks ago, and I do love my new windows...I can raise them with the ease of one finger....So super nice!

New doors will be installed in just two weeks...I am so excited!  My front door is going to have the big "Texas Star"  embedded in the glass...   Woo hoo!  I am going to love it!  I am so excited...

Now, on to the one thing that was an eye sore for me...The FIRE PLACE..  No mantle!  Just drives me crazy.

Well...after eight years, I now love the fireplace....Take a look at what I did....

Both of my brother's are builders, and I could have easily had them build me a beautiful mantle, but that was not the look I really wanted...I wanted something completely different..

I love the old rough look....I wasn't sure that I would be able to mix it with the white more formal look, but Wa La, I did......

I now feel like the fireplace area is complete.

Isn't it amazing how a simple change can make such a huge difference?

Hmmmmm....I think I need another project.

I have found that patience is one of the greatest
virtues....If you have something in mind, something that you really want....then wait, be patient and it will all come together.

"As for me and my house...we will serve the Lord"
                 Joshua  24:15

Sweet Blessings to you all....

Getting Rid of Blessing Blockers

Oh My Goodness.....I am so thankful to see the sun shining so bright this morning!

I just fell in love with this darling little birdhouse...WOW, for the bird that gets to call this home!

*******

BLESSING BLOCKERS....

Have you ever heard of such?

Blessing Blockers come in all shapes and sizes. Who is responsible for allowing Blessing Blockers to become a part of our lives?

Could it be ME?  Could it be YOU?

Yes, we are the ones that are responsible for blocking our own Blessings..

It's the lifestyle choices that we make...It can also be our habits, greed, selfishness, anger, un-forgiveness, hatred,...even our daily thoughts.

And what about this thing called
DISOBEDIENCE.

We can't forget about Gossip!  Gossip is so harmful and it can destroy anything good inside of us..

Bitterness and Jealousy...
These are two things that love to hang over our heads...I don't know about you, but I certainly do not want to walk around with something this heavy lurking on top of my head.

These are just a few of the things that prevent us from fully receiving the Blessings that God has for us.

I want to receive every single Blessing that God has for me!

...We can be empowered to succeed and we can freely receive the Blessings that God desires for us.

We can rise above the things that we are allowing to block our Blessings..

It starts with us...We need to fill our hearts with God's word and we need to be in Obedience to God's word.

Job 36:11  "If they obey and serve {Him}, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures."

HONOR GOD TODAY....

Sweet Blessings,

Shug

All about Routine!

I can not believe that it is already 6:00 on Monday afternoon, and I have not even posted my blog today....

Where has the day gone?

I have to ask myself:  Am I a person of routine?  I definitely believe that I must be...It's the unexpected, out of ordinary things that can really throw my day off...

For me, routine means....I can go throughout my morning without much thought...I know what to do and I move forward...Another huge thing is that routine brings about self-discipline and organization for me.
All in all, ROUTINE brings me comfort and more stability.....

How many of you have routines that you follow each and every morning?
You know, like prayer time, coffee, breakfast, getting dressed for the day and so on and so on.

I am almost certain that I have previously shared with you how making my bed is a MUST DO FOR ME....If I walk out of this house without making my bed, then I feel like my day is out of sync.

This morning I had to leave around 6:45 in order to have my dad at the Doctor for a 7:30 appointment.
I left Sam in bed, so therefore my bed did not get made before I left.  YIKES!  Throws my day completely off..

Today was a different kind of day all together...Not only did the day start out backwards, but it has been a rainy, cool, and dreary MONDAY.  Our temps have been in the 50's and tonight it is dropping into the 40's.

I suppose it could be a combination of all of the above as to why I have neglected TODAY'S routines............

Oh well...Tomorrow will be another day!!

Till Then....

Seeds Of Power

It's not what happens in our life that makes us happy or unhappy....It's how we preceive these events and then process them......

Thoughts have "Great Power"

They are like seeds that we plant in our mind.
The more that we hold onto a particular thought, the more power we invest into it....

Positive thoughts give us energy and strength.
On the other hand, negative thoughts rob of us
joy!
Negative thoughts also make us feel tired and they drain
us of our motivation.....

When we sow a thought, we reap action....When we reap an action, it becomes very easy to reap a habit....
When we reap a habit, we develop a character and
with character, comes our destiny!!

Celebrate this Beautiful day...
