God is Good and Life Is Beautiful.....

Good Morning.......God is Good and Life is Beautiful!

Wouldn't you know it?   I walked right out the door yesterday evening and left my camera sitting on the bar....

We enjoyed a wonderful evening having dinner with friends and watching a fabulous fireworks show.  What made it even better was being able to watch two shows at the same time.....God was opening up the sky with His gorgeous majesty....HE gave us a firework show of HIS own....rolling clouds with flashing lights of static lightning......not the bolt lightning, but the kind that causes the clouds to glow....

The meal was scrumptious and to top it off, my friend for all times (Susie) made the most outstanding dessert.  It was one of those desserts that guarantees a  smile......

I'm not sure if this dessert even has a name, but I suppose I would have to call it "Unforgettable Passion."        It's a layer of ice cream sandwiches...layer of chocolate ice cream syrup.....layer of cool whip.....layer of nuts.....stack another layer of the same ingredients on top and then place in the freezer......OMG...OMGoodness!

Yesterday was really a Remarkable Day!

It is so nice to be able to set aside all the busy schedules that we all try to keep, and enjoy spending a delightful day with family and friends....This is exactly what we did yesterday.....

I don't know about you, but my calendar is full of everyday task and more.  It's almost as if the days are running together, especially when I stop and take a look at all the penciled in happenings that are keeping me so busy....

I sometimes find myself asking....Are there really 24 hours in a day?

I think I need to take a step back and Re-Access my time...
Needless to say, I have not completed any of the summer projects that I had intended to work on....It's already July and I still have much to accomplish...  Not to worry, I will get them done.

One thing is for sure....I never want to limit the time that I spend with God.....

                                                           ********************

I hope your weekend and your Monday was as Blessed as mine......I count it a Blessing to be able to set time aside for the pleasures of being with Family and friends.....

I am FREE to run.....I am FREE to dance.....I am FREE to live for God....and I am also FREE to give HIM Praise!!!    This is what Independence day is all about!!

Have a wonderful day......

Bummer that you left your camera! I would have loved to especially see that dessert!! I am the same way with scheduling and way too many people to take care of and things to do! I have just started praying for God to organize my time, put things in front of me that He wants me to do, and let me somehow know what I'm not to do. Even if I want to do certain things, that doesn't mean it's in His plan for me, but no way of knowing without asking! So glad you had a wonderful Fourth!!!

I might as well have forgotten my camera! They didn't turn out very well because of my forgetfulness. Oh well. There's always next year! The dessert you mention sounds like one I've made except its just one layer. It is yummy! Two layers would even be better! We had a wonderful weekend, glad you did, too! Take care.

I love the new banner!
I, too, am so thankful for the freedoms we have.
I need to take more time to smell the roses and listen to God instead of always talking! Bad habit I have. It's so hard to sit still when you think you have so much to get done.
Thanks for the great post!

It is still dry here but the temps have cooled down some and that's a good thing.
