A "Princess and Her Prince"

So....this past Saturday evening was PROM night and Taylor was absolutely Beautiful!

The theme was "Fairy Tales" and Taylor certainly dressed the part.....

She wore a gorgeous "Yellow" dress and she looked stunning!

Check out the shoes....Tennis shoes with silver sequins....she said:  "A girl needs to be comfortable when she is dancing!"

Taylor and Colin......

For those of you who are new to my blog, Taylor is my great niece.  She came to live with Sam and I a couple of years ago.  Her dad was my nephew.
The story is this:  Both of Taylor's parents are deceased as well as both of her grandmother's and great grandmother's.
This girl has experienced a lot of disappointments  in her young life and has had to overcome some  difficult situations that most kids will never experience.

We are very proud of Her!

Sam and I are thankful that we were able to open our home to her when she had no other place to go.....

Through a lot of prayer and much determination on her part, I know that she will be successful and that the rest of her life can be filled with much joy and peace.

Taylor will graduate this month and will attend college in the Fall.....

I pray that Taylor will allow God to direct every step she takes and that she will seek HIM always!

Sweet Blessings,

Shug

  4. Oh the dress is beautiful! She DOES look like something out of a fairy tale. But I see she is also grounded with good common sense, wearing the tennis shoes!! She is such a beautiful and wise girl, and I know you have had a lot to do with that. You can be so proud of her!

  7. Oh my! My first thought was that she looks just like Belle from the movie, "Beauty and the Beast"! And I mean that in the best way. A gorgeous couple and such a wonderful thing that you opened your home to her.
