Life Is Sweeter With A Little Chocolate

Life is very good, but it sure seems to be sweeter with a little chocolate...

This past Monday I received a call that I totally was not expecting...The caller ID showed it to be a call from Pennsylvania.  What?  The gentleman on the other end of the line was calling to find out if I was home.  My first thought was "I'm not sure I want you to know if I am home or not"  He went on to explain that he had a delivery for me.

OK....so... "It's not Valentines day...It's not even Valentines week." Besides, Sam has already given me my Valentines Gift!! And I LOVE It!!!! (Another story for a later date)

A delivery for me...I don't remember ordering anything.
What could it be?

About 20 minutes later, a truck pulls into the drive away and the delivery guy steps out with this beautiful bouquet of EDIBLE FRUIT!

Oh My Goodness... Excitement took over!

Mylee was just as excited as I was and we both could not wait to open the clear plastic covering that was gently protecting every piece of the fruit.

Chocolate dipped strawberries...plain strawberries...Chocolate dipped apple slices...Pineapple flowers...Cantaloupe...Honey Dew slices...Red Grapes...

The bouquet was so pretty that I didn't even want to remove a piece of the fruit....BUT
we soon had the covering off and we were enjoying every single bite.

Who could have sent such a wonderful gift?  I took the card and as I opened it up, I saw the sweetest message.

Hope your hands are getting better.  You'll be so glad you did it.

Love,
Kim

My sweet friend Kim had sent the gift.

Kim had surgery on her hand last year and has been so pleased with the results.

Life is so sweet and it's even sweeter when you realize that you were in some one's thoughts that day!

Thank you Kim for making me feel special.
You are a special friend!

Shug Sez.....

What an encouragement it is and one of those great pleasures in life to have good friends!

What a nice surprise for you!! Looks beautiful. My mom received one and a lot of the fruit had been dipped in chocolate. Talk about perfect!
I had surgery on both hands last year (glad I did it, too!!) but nobody sent me an edible arrangement :(
