What is required?

Good Sunday Morning....I have been waiting for you to stop by.  I am still determined in my heart to be cheerful and happy today.

Reading the scriptures is a great way to start any day, so I invite you to join me outside.  Let's rock  (Oh, how I love my rocking chair)  for a while and enjoy God's word!  The flowers are beautiful and they smell so sweet. Let yourself be absorbed in the fragrance of the garden and enjoy the
presence of the Lord..

What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
                                 Micah  6:8 (NIV)

I have been thinking, and I do love it when God speaks to my heart.
Sunday after Sunday, I see the people in my church.  Most of us are all "regulars", but some are new.  I see some that are instantly singing and Praising God the minute they enter the sanctuary.  Others come in and their focus is on getting to their seat, opening their Bible and waiting to receive the message that the pastor has prepared.  Some are joyful and they need to just take some time to visit with others about their week...

I know that when I leave on Sunday, that more than likely I will not see these people again until the following Sunday....God has been speaking to me that each one of these people are my christian brothers and sisters and that I need to spend more time being a servant to those with needs.  Who said that our trials only come on Sunday's?  We need to show people that we care and are willing to stand by them when they are facing a valley in their lives.

We are free to serve God and we need to be more productive in using our time.  I can bake, so why not take a cake or some cookies from time to time to those in my church?  You know, just to say I've been thinking about you.....I can pray, so why not spend time praying for those that are sick?  I can drive, so why not visit someone that perhaps is lonely?  This list can go on and on...Things that we can do if we will freely serve God

How difficut would it be to spend an extra hour during the week doing something good for our church friends.   Let us take some time this week to notice those around us and the needs that they may have.
Our kindness is a testimony of God's Mercy!

Love, like sunshine's warmth, beams forth on every side and bends to every need!

  1. It is always good to help others when one can,
so I am asking for your help now.
We go to a new Dr. tomorrow to see about more surgery on the right kidney--if you would keep Mr Ken and I in your prayers we would apprecaite it.

    Thanks!
