Blessed Housewife

I absolutely love my job! What is my title?  I am a HOUSEWIFE!
The definition of a housewife is: a married woman who manages her own household as this is her principle job.

Some would say that this is a job that has no importance.  That belief would be far from the truth.  As a housewife, my day is filled with an enormous amount of importance.  I would ask, what is more important than taking care of family...Making sure their needs are met.  Cooking to make sure they eat healthy, washing clothes to make sure they have clean clothes to wear, clipping coupons for groceries in order to save money, taking kids to the doctor so they can be well, organizing appointments, making a house a home....The list of responsibilities is endless!

Just this morning within a two hour span, I have fixed breakfast for twelve people.  Sausage, pancakes, biscuits.....(It is important to make sure they have the nutrition to start their day...)
I have washed a load of clothes and dryed that same load.  I have been a nurse this morning tending to the needs of a grandson. I have bathed Mylee and she is dressed.  My kitchen is clean and I have taken out the trash.  Baked Potatoes are in the oven for Carson and Trey to have for lunch.

I realize that this is not a job that appears to be exciting, but for me it is the perfect occupation!  I believe that whatever it is you choose to do in life you need to do it to the best of your ability.  Being a HOUSEWIFE is exactly what I want to do....I don't just want to be a housewife, I want to be the BEST!

Yes, the BEST wife, the BEST mother, the BEST grandmother, the BEST daughter, the BEST manager of our home.....A home that is filled with Love.   What does it pay you might ask?  More than I could ever ask for........I AM BLESSED!

This is such a beautiful piece of writing. I loved your story! I myself, am a house wife and the kids are grown and on their own. Yes, like you, it's more than just being a housewife; it's what's deep inside me and to the reasons why I choose to be a housewife. I believe in your concepts and managing to ensure seeing that the bills are paid, make sure appointments are kept. Checking on the family, making sure everybody's alright. I have a studio set up in my house to were I can sing/play guitar, Study the Word of God. (Working on my Doctorate's Degree in Divinity) Being a housewife don't mean that I don't go any where it's just that I have everything I need and want are right here at home. I go to the lake 3 times a week and take a walk with other ladies who we all are in this "Meetup.com thingy. Like is wonderful. I do know, that there was a time of actually being a housewife with a house full of kinds and taking care of everybody! Now, I take care of Me & My husband and enjoying hobbies. I know, a lot of women/mother's also, who do 'wish' they actually 'could' be a housewife without such a financial burden. I suppose, I can say, too. I'M BLESSED TO BE A HOUSEWIFE.
